Turkish Communication Development Inventory

Tige

The Turkish Communication Development Inventory (TÄ°GE), a tool that measures early communication and grammar skills, is a measurement tool that has been prepared in accordance with the structure of the Turkish language and whose reliability and validity have been determined. It is applied to the primary caregiver by speech and language therapists to recognize the vocabulary and grammatical structures of the client in assessment sessions.

It is an easy-to-apply scale used to determine the language development levels of children aged 8-36 months whose mother tongue is used. TÄ°GE-I aims to measure the communication behaviors (gestures) and vocabulary of 8-16 month old babies, and TÄ°GE-II aims to measure the vocabulary and grammar skills of 16-36 month old children.
